Adopt a Black Mouth Cur / Mixed (short coat)

Black Mouth Cur / Mixed (short coat) Dog

Hank the Dog needs a home

I'm a great dog with lots and lots of energy! If you're looking for a lap dog I'm not your guy. I have too much energy to be a lap dog.

My foster mom found me one morning when she went out on the front porch to enjoy a cup of coffee. There I was laying on the drive-way all beat up. My foster mom suspects I was a 'bait dog' for hog hunters. I had a lot of injuries on me and one rather large hole in my neck, no doubt from a wild hog. Hog hunters call what they do a "sport", but my foster mom doesn't agree!

I was the dog that was sent in to fight with the wild hog and keep him occupied until the 'big guns' were released and they are usually Pitbulls. There is protection that these hunters can put on us 'bait dogs', but in many cases they don't want to spend the money.  So so sad!!! Anyway, enough of this life that is now behind me thank goodness!!

I get along with the dogs here at my foster home. There are no small children, but my foster mom thinks I would love any child I meet. My breed is good about that and very very protective!

I haven't had any accidents in the house and it would be best if I'm not a 'country dog' that is allowed to run free. I have been trained to hunt and once I got out of the back yard and decided to 'hunt' the foster horses here. I didn't get hurt nor did I hurt the horses, but I sure tried to herd them which they were not having it.

If you have any questioins please email my foster mom at the email address below.

Love Hank!!!
